THE POWER OF GOD IS AVAILABLE TO EVERY PERSON

God has always been God. There was never a time in which God was not present. He was able to save people in the past, just as He can today. He is the unchangeable, eternal, living God. The people who called upon God, did so as according to their faith. They believed in HIM. Disbelief will hinder your walk with God; and not only that, it is disbelief which prevents the blessings of God being poured out in your life! Faith and disbelief are two powerful forces, but belief is the strongest of the two.

It is not that God is unable to help or save. Nor is it the case that He is not willing to help. No, by all means, He is able to save at any time, whatever the problem is; otherwise, He would not be almighty. No, that is not the reason; but rather there is something which separates you from the living God, and this is stopping you from receiving salvation and help from above. God gives the answer through the prophet Isaiah in 59:1-3: Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: (The power of God is available, but...) your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

That was the reason why Israel could no longer be blessed at that time. It was also the reason why the blessings of God came to a STANDSTILL. God had hidden His face. He, the righteous one, who loves truth, will have nothing to do with fools. One day, when millions of people will stand before the throne of God, not one of them will be able to say as an excuse: "Your power and help was never available to me!"

It is available, but there are requirements which have to be met! God will never call unrighteousness righteousness. God keeps His word. He will only be able to do things for you, when He first sees you turning around from committing sin. For the help, or better said, the entire help of God is available to every individual who turns to Him, JESUS CHRIST, from their whole heart and who remains faithful to Him. Why would HE require that a person turns away from their sin, if HE was not willing to help?

Why would HE say, "Seek me," if it did not matter to HIM anyway? Test Him, take things seriously, change your life, and God will step in for sure. (rw)

1 Chr 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

2 Chr 15:2 The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Zep 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.

Ps. 118:5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in large place. rw
